[BLOCK B] New Korean Hip Hop Group

Producer and rapper Cho PD unveiled his new seven member hip hop group Block B this April 14, 2011 through their first MV "Just Stop / Freeze".

The new hip hop group is composed of their leader and one of the main rapper, Zico (Woo Jiho), who has been once dropped from the initial line-up because of the feeling that he didn't have enough to be a leader, also commonly recognized by most fans for resembling B2ST's Junhyung. The other main rapper of the group, Kyung (Park Kyung), who has been chosen to be trainee while still in New Zealand and which Cho PD said to fit in another group as a leader but he insisted to join Block B. Jaehyo (Ahn Jaehyo), who is said by some fans to be Super Junior's Kyuhyun look-a-like is also an old trainee for B2ST but has stopped and received a surgery due to his knee injury caused by severe rehersals. Main vocalist, Taeil (Lee Taeil), a former contestant of MBC's Birth of a Great Star who luckily went straight into recording the group's title track with his genuine good voice. U-Kwon (Kim Yoo Kwon), Cho PD's personal 'dark horse'. B-Bomb (Lee Min Hyuk) & their maknae P.O. (Pyo Jihun) who first didn't pass the first audition but he came back losing 10 kg with improved vocal and dancing skills, also having a voice like Bigbang's T.O.P.

Aside from having 'look-a-likes' from different popular groups, Block B gained explosive anticipations from fans since the of their teaser video for their debut single "Do U Wanna B?", a song that is different of those other rookie groups with it's addictive and very upbeat hip hop genre which appeared new and pleasant for most fans. The group successfully debuted at Music Bank last April 15, 2011 with their song "Freeze" while fans still awaits for the release of their MV for "Do U Wanna B?" this coming May.

It's U-kiss' Mall Tour in Philippines! ( and my bestfriend's sacrifice for me)

Yah! Lucky me! I had the chance to attend their mall tour in the Phillipines. This picture was taken on their last mall tour. May 28, 2010.

Actually I almost lose hope seeing them because the venues are so far. The nearest venue was at the Megamall and unfortunately I'm not available that day. Why? Well, luckily I was qualified as a honor student in our class and the awarding day was the same as their mall tour day (May 26). Of course I have no choice 'cause even though I really wanna see them, it must be studies first before everything. And my mom will attend the awarding. I can't just do what I want and let her down.

Well, while I'm at school that day thinking about how nice it was watching and seeing them, my other friends whose already at the show keep texting my other classmates whose with me how awesome it was (huhuhu). But as they say: "if there's a will, there's a way!", so no matter how far me and my bestfriends attend the show! We can't just let it slip away like that!

So, the show will start 5pm but we decided to go to 5 hours earlier and with our shock there are 782 people earlier than us (well that's because my ticket number was 783). Me and my friends decided to meet up at the venue. You know what? My friends arrived almost the same time as we did but when I tried to find them their already inside! How come right? Well, the only way that they can do that is to cut the line and they did without anyone noticing. Their ticket number is about 140 something.

My friend are wise and their wiseness didn't end up there (cutting the line~actually that may seem like cheating). As the show started it'a almost like stampede. Everyone pushing, wanted to go in front, it's so crowded, it's like you're in a wave; you can't even see the guys on stage. That time I'm about at the edge of giving up and my friend left my side because she can't see anything too, I thought she gave up... but! Remember I told you their wise. What happened? The next thing we know one of my friends is already inside the VIP area! and she grabbed us in too! How and why did she did that was so touching. She didn't did it for herself but she told me she did it for me. She left because she tried to find a way for us to get a better view and more importantly because (she told me) she saw me about to cry (ok that's not true) and she don't want to see me crying. So, she went over those barricades even though she knows that the guard might see her and got mad but it's a success!

Wow! Aside from seeing my idols personally that day, I also knew that I gained a true friend. I never thought that someone will do things like that for me just wanting to see me happy and making sure that I won't cry. Until now I can't believe that she did it for me, letting herself aside for a friend. Well, I'm proud to say that I have a crazy, ignorant but brave, wise and true bestfriend! A unique one of a kind friend. Hope you guys meet yours too!
